We always say that we can insure almost anything, this is proof.

In June of 2015 we were approached by G3 Quad Freestyle, a company that host ATV freestyle shows and provides stunts for major films.  They had just gotten the call from 20th Century Fox to fly to Hawaii and perform a stunt for the new film “Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates“.  Part of their contract with 20th Century Fox required them to carry insurance for the stunts they were performing on the set of the movie.  The insurance policy needed to provide coverage in the event a crew member, actor, or bystander were injured if something went wrong with the stunts.  Phillips Stafford Insurance Group was tasked with finding that insurance coverage.

We have seen all kinds of risks come across our desk from a standard home and auto policy to manufacturers of collapsible beach pails.  But being asked to insure three days of ATV freestyle stunts in Hawaii for a major Hollywood movie has been the most interesting, so far.  We were able to coordinate with the producers in Hawaii, the stunt company in Minnesota, and a specialized insurance carrier in Indiana to find and place a liability policy in less than two weeks.

If you have a difficult or hard to place insurance policy, let us know. We pride ourselves in placing the risks that others can’t.

Be sure to check out Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates when it hits theaters on July 8th, 2016.
