The final county yields are in for 2020.

If ECO would have been available in 2020, would it have paid?

Below is a graph showing the Expected County Yield vs. the Actual County Yield.  The difference between the Expected Revenue and Actual Revenue is shown in the table, along with the percentage.

ECO (95%) would trigger if the county’s revenue is less than 95% of expected.

  • For corn, you can see that Grundy (88%), Hamilton (95%), Hardin ($82%), and Marshall (44%) would have triggered an ECO payment in 2020.
  • For soybeans,  yields were less than expected, but the price increased enough to offset the yield losses. Therefore, no revenue losses for soybeans in 2020.

SCO triggers if the county’s revenue is less than 86% of expected.

  • For corn, Hardin (82%) and Marshall (44%) triggered in 2020.
  • For soybeans, SCO did not trigger in any of the listed counties.
