  • MCO Coverage band is reducing from 9% to 5%.
  • You can purchase MCO or ECO, not both.
  • The coverage band for ECO will also be 90-95% starting in 2027.
  • SCO Coverage is now extending up to 90%.
  • You can purchase SCO regardless of your ARC-CO or PLC farm bill election.
  • MCO diversifies your crop insurance projected price, by locking in the price in the fall.

MCO, Margin Coverage Option, is a county-based crop insurance product that provides protection against price, variable input costs, and county yields. Here are the 2027 Expected County Yields.
